The Best Free Online Alarm Clock - Everything You Need in One Place

I spent two weeks testing every major online alarm clock I could find. vclock.com, onlineclock.net, setalarmclock.net, timeanddate.com, kukuklok.com, alarmdj.com, clockii.com, time.now and more. Each one had something missing. vclock only lets you set one alarm at a time and has no way to upload your own sound. onlineclock.net has a basic interface but no repeat alarms and no dark mode. setalarmclock.net is decent but has no math challenge, no gradual volume, and no sleep timer. None of them had all the features that someone who actually uses alarms daily would need. So I built this.

Upload Your Own Sound from Your Device

This is the biggest feature that competitor sites are missing completely. Every other free alarm clock website forces you to pick from their small list of built-in sounds. On FreeAlarmTimer.com, you can click the upload button and choose any audio file from your phone, tablet, or computer. MP3, WAV, OGG, and M4A formats are all supported up to 20MB. Want to wake up to your favorite nasheed, a motivational speech, your favorite song, or even a recording of your own voice? Upload it and it becomes your alarm sound. The file stays in your browser session and is never sent to any server.

12 Premium Built-in Sounds

Even without uploading, you have 12 completely different built-in sounds to choose from. Classic Beep, Church Bell, Xylophone Chime, Digital Rising, Radar Pulse, Morning Birds, Rooster Call, Soft Piano, Emergency Siren, Ocean Wave, Good Morning Voice, and Wake Up Voice. The voice alarms use your browser's built-in text-to-speech so they actually speak to you when the alarm rings.

Gradual Volume Wake-Up

Waking up to a sudden loud alarm is jarring and stressful. Research shows that gradual wake-ups are better for your body and leave you feeling more refreshed. When you turn on gradual volume, the alarm starts at a very low volume and slowly gets louder over 30 seconds. This way you wake up gently instead of being shocked out of sleep. Not a single free online alarm clock competitor offers this feature.

Math Challenge Mode to Stop Heavy Sleepers

The most common problem with any alarm clock is turning it off in your sleep and not remembering. Math Challenge Mode forces you to solve a math problem before the alarm will stop. You can choose Easy (simple addition), Medium (multiplication), or Hard (multi-step problems). Your brain cannot solve math while still asleep, so this forces you to actually wake up before you can dismiss the alarm. It works extremely well for heavy sleepers.

Sleep Timer

The sleep timer works the opposite way from an alarm. Instead of waking you up, it counts down and reminds you when to stop listening to music or a podcast. Set it for 30, 45, or 60 minutes and a notification appears when the time is up. This is perfect for people who like to fall asleep to audio but do not want it running all night.

Repeat Alarms by Day of Week

Select any combination of days to repeat your alarm. Only Monday to Friday? Select those five days. Weekend only? Select Saturday and Sunday. Every day? Select all seven. Your alarm will automatically trigger on the selected days without you needing to set it again. All alarm settings are saved in your browser so they remain available even if you refresh the page.

Works on Every Device Without Any App

This alarm clock runs entirely in your browser. No download, no installation, no signup. Whether you are on an iPhone in Karachi, an Android tablet in Dubai, a Windows laptop in London, or a Mac in New York, everything works the same way. The design is fully responsive and all buttons are large enough to tap comfortably on a touchscreen, even when you just woke up and your eyes are not fully open yet.
